The NML Pickleball Podcast is Live!

We are starting an exciting new chapter at NML as we released our first podcast episode today. In this first episode, we discuss winners and losers from the MLP draft, dig into the PPA Denver Open and give a little preview for the Beer City Open this weekend. We’re aiming to make the podcasts a regular thing, although with our schedules you may have to wait a couple of weeks for the next episode.

You will be able to find our podcast on Spotify, Apple and YouTube –Apple is giving us a little bit of trouble so we only have Spotify and YouTube at the time of this posting. We don’t have a video component quite yet, but we plan to add a video component once we’re able to work out the kinks on the voice recording side of things. Producer/IT Manager Allissa only has so much time to dedicate to the blog as well.

The goal of the podcast is to supplement the writing we have on the blog and simply have conversations with each other about topics that we care about. There’s a lot of things that don’t make the blog and we hope our readers are interested in hearing those discussions. As always, don’t be shy to let us know what you think whether it is positive or negative feedback. If you like what you hear, please subscribe to the podcast and leave a review on Spotify or Apple (when we have it up there) as we understand reviews are helpful.

You can also follow us on all our social media channels – Twitter, Instagram, Threads and Facebook. Of course, if you have any ideas for segments, what you would like to hear or what you’re tired of hearing, just let us know! We appreciate all the support we continue to receive from the pickleball community and we’re going to do our best to keep bringing the content.

Congratulations on the podcast. First time with dual hosts where I can hear both hosts through-out the podcast. You also didn’t talk over each other which the other dual hosted podcasts do. Well done!

During The Dink’s live draft broadcast, Tyler claimed he had heard of a weird reason Alshon was picked – could it really have been to keep him off AL’s team … We have heard/seen the controversy between Riley’s family and AL’s family.

Interesting about Pardoe being the fan boy of the pros with tweets. lol. Time for David’s idea for a player’s union? But it might “hint” that some of these pros don’t understand the contract they signed very well.

Thanks! We have lots of room to get better but that will only come with more reps as we are comfortable with one another. Being in the same room together is helpful too.

This is a good question about Alshon. We have not heard anything like that. It would be odd for a team to do that for such reasons but not out of the question.

Some of these pros definitely didn’t understand and some of them did. However, it seems like even the pros getting the red carpet treatment are not the happiest
